What is Asan made from?

Cellulose is the base of this unique litter. Asan Cat also includes LAPUR, a patented substance which improves the ability of the litter to absorb odours. Asan Pet for rodents is enriched with Aloe Vera extract which brings significant health benefits.

How do I know that the litter needs to be changed?

At the moment when the litter fulfilled its function – it no longer absorbs liquid and starts to smell. The Asan Cat litter in 10 litre package lasts for about 35 days for one cat. The consumption period of Asan Pet is directly proportional to the size of the cage as well as the number and age of the animals bred.

How much litter shall I put in?

Pour a 3 to 4 cm layer.

Shall I use Asan Pet or Asan Cat for terrarium animals?

Definitely use Asan Pet as it contains Aloe Vera. This litter contains the best-quality organic extract from the whole leaves of Aloe.

Can you please publish the methods of testing Asan and its comparison with other litter?

Asan is continuously subject to all the tests that can be done in this segment of products. The parametric values and qualities of new Asan have been confirmed by the latest tests executed in the laboratories of the Institute of the Light Industries.

It is certified by ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004. It has got TÜV certification. We also had tests done by the State Medical Institute and State Veterinary Institute.

Why is Aloe Vera added only to Asan Pet?

As rodents live in the litter and they are in contact with it with almost the entire surface of their bodies. They also raise their young ones in the litter who are especially sensitive to it. The active natural polysaccharides with Aloe Vera (with the content of about 200 active substances) are of a great health benefit to the animals bred. They help prevent the occurrence of parasites during streptococcal and staphylococcal infections. Cats only use the litter to relieve themselves and immediately leave it so adding Aloe Vera extract would have no benefit there.

For cat breeders we have developed and patented the LAPUR technology which we apply to Asan Cat. It prevents the growth of moulds and other pathogens very effectively which brings a great contribution to allergic or asthmatic people who otherwise could not keep animals at all. The contribution of LAPUR to cat breeders mainly lies in its excellent absorption of odours.

Is it possible to use Asan for cages with exotic birds? If so, which one?

It is definitely possible and even suitable. Even though Asan was not originally intended for exotic birds, the responses from breeders show that it can be also applied in this area and that breeders use it in their cages and aviaries more and more often. We received first such a response from a customer from Ireland, a long-term breeder of African grey parrots. We recommend using Asan Pet.
