Fill the cage for rodents with about a 3 cm high layer of litter and spread it evenly on the bottom of the cage. Remove solid and liquid excrements together when the absorption ability of the litter has been used up. - When to replace?
As soon as the litter changes colour and the ability to absorb odours decreases. The usable life of the litter is directly proportional to the size of the cage, number, age and size of animals bred. According to the experience of breeders, one 14-liter package of Asan Pet is good as litter for a cage with one guinea pig for 6 weeks and for a dwarf rabbit for 5 weeks. - How to dispose of it?
If you do not have a container for bio-waste, you can flush the used Asan down the toilet or you can compost it. The process of composting brings the awareness of responsibility and own contribution to the improvement of quality of our environment.
